Recently someone in our family was describing a wound and explaining that it couldn’t heal properly because we don’t have bandaids.
The interesting thing is, we do have bandaids.
I believe the bandaids are on a different shelf. And yes, they’re in a different container, but they are there. Somewhat hidden, but there.
The Holy Spirit showed me how this person has “accepted” his fate in a sense, but his fate is based on inaccurate information and we do this all the time.
We look in the same place. We expect God to do things in a very specific, often small, way, and when he doesn’t show up in that specific, small way, we assume he didn’t show. And we accept our fate.
All the while, his provision in on a different shelf, in a different container. Keep looking…
